Organisation
The Finnish Ski Association is governed by three focal bodies: the general assembly, the central council and the board.
The meeting of the general assembly is conducted every other year. The general assembly votes for the central council, where each discipline has a set number of representatives. The general assembly also votes for the chairman and deputy chairman of the central council. The council's term of office is two years.
The central council, in turn, votes for the board and its president. In addition to the president, the board has eight members: two representing the alpine disciplines, two representing ski jumping & Nordic combined, and two representing cross-country skiing. Two of the members are elected on the grounds of their competence in the field of ski sport. The board's term of office is two years, but half of the members retire annually in rotation.
