Finnish Ski Sport Foundation

Established in 1995, the Finnish Ski Sport Foundation aims to financially support the Finnish athletes competing in the Finnish Ski Association's disciplines, and thus promote the overall development of ski sport in Finland. For achieving these aims, the foundation manages two separate funds.

Financial support, e.g. scholarships, may be awarded either during the athlete's active career or after it. The awarded grants may be used for covering training and competing expenses (i.e. equipment purchases or competition and insurance fees), or the cost of living. In addition, the foundation provides the athletes with a possibility for financial planning.

Companies and private individuals have a possibility to donate money for the foundation. The donated sums will be used according to a shared agreement.
